The Huawei Watch Fit sports a familiar design. While we see other fitness bands with narrow rectangular screens or smartwatches with round design, the Huawei Watch Fit has a rectangular screen but at first glance you will notice it as an Apple Watch. Actually, everybody who saw the watch at a glance thought its an Apple Watch. But when you look closely, the Huawei Watch is more rectangular while the Apple Watch is square.
We are also glad that Huawei opted to use AMOLED for its display. The 1.64-inch display is so gorgeous to look at. It does get very bright outdoors. Auto brightness needs some work though so we adjust brightness manually.
Huawei’ own OS for smartwatches is very easy to understand and navigate. Swipe down from the screen and see your quick settings. Connecting it to your phone is also easy. Just download the Huawei Health app which is available on Huawei App Gallery, Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Sign in your Huawei account and turn on your phone’s Bluetooth to connect your Huawei Watch Fit and then your good to go.
Health features like heart rate sensor and stress monitor is so much helpful tracking your condition especially for us that has Cardiomypathy and Diabetes. Tracking the heart rate and level of stress on a daily level helps us improve our condition. For those who love to jog or do brisk walking, steps monitor is also present here.
We are always amazed by Huawei’s battery performance on their phones. That is no different on their fitness bands and smartwatches. Huawei claims 10-day battery life on the Huawei Watch Fit. Well, we around 9 days of battery if the watch is not connected to the phone. We usually get 7 days of battery when connected via Bluetooth. Our activities only include looking at the time and checking notifications. If you do more like stress tests heart rate, and others daily, you get shorter battery life. But overall, battery life is superb!
The Huawei Watch Fit is a perfect everyday companion on your wrist. Especially for us who has a heart condition and other sickness. Tracking our health is really important during these stressful times. That is also supported by great design, nice software and display and a very decent battery life. For only Php 5,990we give our two thumbs up recommendation.
