Upon seeing the Infinix Note 7 Lite right out of the box, we were immediately impressed with its design. We know that the body is made of plastic but it doesn’t feel cheap to hold. It actually felt very solid. We also love this Forest Green color. We kinda hoped that it should be matte finish because this shiny surface attracts so many fingerprints. Good thing there is a case included in the package.

The phone has a large 6.6-inch display. its an IPS panel and on 720p resolution. Surprisingly , it isn’t a bad display. It produces good colors and its fairly bright. But we have to take it out outdoors to test this further.

Infinix Mobile has its own skin on top of Android 10 called XOS. We have reviewed older Infinix devices in the past and XOS has gone a long way since then. It is more polished, flatter and easier to navigate. What we don’t like is the ads poping out when going to the app drawer. This is understandable for a phone at this price. But still… we are not liking it. There are also bloatware preinstalled such as games in which you can uninstall immediately. Useful apps like Messenger, Facebook and Instagram is already pre-installed.

At the back we have four cameras – a 48MP main camera, a 2MP macro lens, 2MP depth sensor and a QVGA camera. We find the camera array a bit weird but we will definitely test that for our full review.

There are a lot to like to the Infinix Note 7 Lite. First of course is the Php 6,999 price tag. That alone is already attractive to budget smartphone buyers. Second is the hardware. It doesn’t feel cheap at all. The display is also surprisingly good despite only having a 720p display. We are definitely impressed. If you wish to buy this phone and can’t wait for our full review, we give our two thumbs up recommendation.
