Food delivery service Grab Food and Foodpanda resume their services as the Philippine Government’s Inter- Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) encouraged food preparation and food delivery services to function during the Luzon-wide Enhanced Community Quarantine due to Corona Virus (COVID-19) threat.
In a Facebook post, Grab Philippines has resumed their Grab Food delivery service
“Upon careful assessment of the on-ground situation and after discussions with regulators, we are resuming GrabFood and GrabExpress operations beginning March 17, with a skeletal fleet operating to match allowed restaurant schedules” – Grab statement
In a separate statement, Foodpanda has also resumed its own services after clarifying it to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). Both services will observe safety measures such as social distancing, contactless delivery, and frequent cleaning of delivery bags.
