We are glad to see that Nokia opted to use a matte finish at the back of the Nokia 7.2. That finish does not accumulate fingerprint and smudges. The problem though the matte finish is very smooth which makes the phone slippery still. Thank goodness we have not dropped it yet as it the phone does not have any case included in the box.
Touring the hardware, have a 3.5mm audio jack here and a single firing speaker. The fingerprint scanner is located at the back. There is a 6.3-inch display which is an IPS panel. We have yet to test the screen slated for our full review.
Nokia has been an Android purist’s phobe of choice. It offers no skin on top of Android. There are no bloatware and a pute Android UI is very easy to use and straightforward. So far we have only installed social media apps like Facebook and Instagram. We do more tests on the software for our full review.
FIRST CAMERA SAMPLES
The Nokia 7.2 is the first Nokia smartphone we know that has a 48MP main camera. The two other rear cameras are the 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP depth sensor. At the front we have a 20MP selfie camera. To be honest, HMD Global really wants to prove its camera prowess again. We took some of our first few photos and they are quite impressive.
Our first impressions of the Nokia 7.2 are very positive. The device has a pure Android aoftware, good built quality and promising cameras to begin with. Not to mention that Nokia smartphones are one of the first to the latest software updatws and security patches which very important to us. There are still more to explore on this phone so if you are keen on buying one, we are giving our early recommendation.
