Honor, the sub-brand of Huawei, has finally unveiled its Honor Vision Smart TV which is the first device to have the HarmonyOS.
The Honor Vision Smart TV was equipped with impressive hardware specifications and smarter software integration. Because of that, the TV feels more of a smartphone with a super huge display.
First, on the list, it has a 55-inch 4K IPS display with 400 nits peak brightness, 178° viewing angles, 87% NTSC coverage and TUV Rheinland certification for blue light protection. It has a super-thin frame with only 6.9mm thick which results in a screen-to-body ratio of 94%.
Inside, it was powered by Honghu 818 Octa-core chipset which sounds just like the processor of a smartphone. It has support to Motion Estimate and Motion Compensation (MEMC), High Dynamic Range Imaging (HDR), Super-Resolution (SR), Noise Reduction (NR), Dynamic Contrast Improvement (DCI), Auto Color Management (ACM) and Local Dimming (LD).
The Honor Vision TV was also equipped with HiSilicon Hi1103 chipset for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. It has support to 2.4GHz, 5Hz dual-band, and 160MHz bandwidth allowing it to have a peak download rate of up to 1.7Gbps.
It also has an integrated pop-up AI camera with dedicated HiSilicon Hi3516DV300 NPU chipset for enabling all sorts of Ai capabilities, including face recognition, body tracking, and posture detection.
And of course, having the HarmonyOS is the most interesting thing about this new device. Since Huawei has already announced the HarmonyOS yesterday, we already know that this new OS brings better compatibility and flexibility to all smart devices including smartphones, smart wearables, tablets, laptops, and even cars.
Based on the demo video, you can switch seamlessly between DLNA mode and Miracast display streaming by just using a single NFC tag. This is a very good device for gamers who wants to play with a big screen because of the advertised latency as low as 100ms.
Price and Availability
The Honor Vision TV comes in a regular and pro version. The regular variant was priced at CNY 3,799 (around PHP 27,980) and the pro version has a price of CNY 4,799 (around PHP 35,350). Both are now available for sale on Vmall.com.
