Samsung remains the leading smartphone manufacturer in the world for the second quarter of 2019 based on the reports of Strategy Analytics and Counterpoint.
Samsung shipped 76.3 Million units followed by Huawei with 58.7 Million units and Apple comes in third with 38 Million units. As for the market share, Samsung holds 22.3% market share followed by Huawei with 17.2% market share and 11.1% market share for Apple which comes third. That is according to the report of Strategy Analytics.
On the other hand, Counterpoint had a similar report. Based on their research, Samsung continues to remain No. 1 with 21.3% followed by Huawei with 15.8% then followed by Apple with 10.1%. Other brands that completes the top 10 are Xiaomi, OPPO, Vivo, Lenovo, LG, HMD Global (Nokia) and Realme.
HMD Global, the company that makes Nokia-branded smartphones, had a big growth in terms of smartphone shipments at 20%. But the biggest gain here is Realme with 848% increase for Q2 2019. This made Realme enter the top 10.
