Trump still allows US companies to transact with Huawei

US President Donald Trump mentioned that he still allows US companies to sell products to Huawei on the recent G20 Summit in Japan.

Trump has made some important announcement regarding US vs Huawei issue during the Group of 20 Summit.

In case you missed it, Huawei has recently banned from making transactions with US-owned companies due to the accusation that Huawei is using its technologies to spy on them. But since the US government failed to present any proof, Huawei denied the issue.

Just last month, the US government lifts off the ban for 90 days and it should end this coming August 2019.

So here’s what US President Donald Trump says:

These are American companies producing the products. This is complex… highly scientific. We are the only one with the technology. I have agreed to allow them to continue selling the products … I like our companies selling things to others … very complex things. These are not things easy to make … our companies were very upset, but we are allowing them. So if it is not national security issue, we are allowing them to sell.

This is a very good news not only to Huawei and its users but also to US companies that are benefiting to the transaction with Huawei. In fact, last 2018, Huawei spent around USD 11 Billion in American goods.

Trump also mentioned that further deliberations on a possible trade agreement with Huawei will be conducted most likely next Tuesday.

So for now, let’s just hope the best for Huawei and for the resolution of this issue.
