MediaTek has officially launched it new Helio P65 chipset with support to 48MP camera.
The MediaTek Helio P65 lies between the Helio P60 and Helio P70 chipsets. It has two Cortex-A75 and six Cortex-A55 cores wherein the other two older processors have four Cortex-A73 and four Cortex-A53.
According to ARM, the Cortex-A75 has an average of 22% faster processing than the Cortex-A73 and the Cortex-A55 has an 18% boost over the Cortex-A53.
On the NPU part, MediaTek mentioned that the Helio P65 is twice as fast compared to the older chipsets.
Even though it now has support to 48MP camera, the chipset only supports recording up to 1080p/60 videos. It means that there still no 4K video recording.
On the other hand, it now has a better noise deduction, can create bokeh with one or two camera, videos can be encoded in H.265 format, and enjoy Electronic Image Stabilization.
Just like the Helio P60 and Helio P70, the MediaTek Helio P65 was expected to come with mid-range smartphones soon.
