Reasons to buy the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Edition

  • A more versatile camera system. A Periscope camera, an ultrawide camera and the 48MP main camera will be your best partner no matter what shooting condition you have.
  • It is overall a better-looking phone. We love how the triple camera is so flushed with the body. No camera bumps.
  • The Reno’s dedicated Night Mode is mind blowing good!
  • A bigger screen on the Reno 10x Zoom Edition means better watching experience. No notch, no punch holes interrupting your viewing experience
  • ColorOS is smooth. Really smooth! No lags and no delays when opening apps.
  • ColorOS is also more optimized with battery management. The 4,065 mAh battery can get you easily two days of moderate to heavy use.
  • Faster charging speeds. It may not have wireless charging but it has faster 20W VOOC charging.
  • Its much much CHEAPER. Php 45,990 vs Php 55,990? There is no argument to that.

Reasons to get the Samsung Galaxy S10+

  • Samsung has excellent after sales service. Expect good quality from Samsung.
  • The Galaxy S10+ has a couple of updates to improve its camera. So far the Galaxy S10+ takes better photos still especially its wide angle shots.
  • Its AMOLED display is unmatched in terms of quality. Its brighter and more vibrant.
  • As for Android updates, Samsung may not be the fastest to get the latest software, you are assured of security patches and latest Android versions for two years. Based on this year’s update, Samsung is a bit faster now giving software updates.
  • It may have a slightly smaller screen but it is also slimmer and lighter. It fits the pocket easily.
  • Samsung’s One UI is simple and smooth. It is better than is previous UI from previous Samsung phones.
  • Dual stereo speakers. It is louder, full of bass and texture. Simply the better audio experience
  • More flexible in charging the phone. You can opt for fast wireless or wired 15W charging.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Based on our experience, we think that the OPPO Reno is a clear winner here. The reason is the price. All the flagship power plus more RAM and storage including a bigger screen for a much cheaper price. Do keep in mind that if you are very particular with software support, OPPO is not keen on updating their phones to the latest software but still regular security updates continue to come. Other than that, the OPPO Reno is a better choice.

The Samsung Galaxy S10+ is still one of the best Android flagship available. You can use it anywhere especially North America as compared with the Reno with its limited LTE bands for that area. It is lighter and slimmer so it is pocketable. Samsung’s after sales support and software support is still the best. Cameras and display quality is unmatched. The price, well, yeah it is expensive but this phone is still good for long term use.

Whichever phone you choose you will be very happy with them. It just a matter of what feature of these phones you want most for daily use.
