The Vivo V15 is the lite version of the Vivo 15 Pro. From its physical aspect, we can clearly see that the only difference is the shift of the fingerprint scanner from display to the rear on the V15.
Specs wise, the Vivo V15 was also equipped with downscaled specifications to make it more affordable but it still tried to maintain the latest innovations such as the full view display, triple rear camera system, and the pop-up selfie camera.
Let us take a closer look on what it has to offer.
If you are the type of person who is looking for a smartphone with a lot of new innovations on a less than 20K budget, the Vivo V15 might be the one for you.
One of the key features of this phone is the huge 6.53-inch FullView display; no notch and no punch hole camera, just the display on the front. This is actually a big phone specially for girl with small hands, but who cares if you can use it for a more immersive viewing experience.
The front was protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 6 plus it has a pre-installed screen protector, no question to that because it is the toughest protection you can get right now. Flipping the phone, the back cover was actually made out of plastic. Despite of using that kind of material, it doesn’t feel cheap at all. Actually, we taught it was glass on our first impression. Up until now, the back cover maintain its premium look and it doesn’t get easily scratch even without a protective case.
As mentioned above, the Vivo V15 has a huge tall-looking 6.53-inch FullView display. We really love it and for sure, most consumers will surely do. Though it is not that great as compared to Samsung’s Super AMOLED displays, the fact that is has no notch or any obstruction makes the overall viewing experience super satisfying.
The Vivo V15 was equipped with a MediaTek Helio P70 processor paired with 6GB of RAM. With this, we are able to play most of our favorite games on high settings. Opening multiple apps and jumping from one to another or using the multitasking feature is not a hard time for the phone.
On the software side, the phone comes out of the box with Android 9 Pie version. The Vivo’s own custom skin – the FunTouchOS 9 is still just like the one we know. Unlike any other Android smartphones, the FunTouchOS is more similar to iOS. The Quick Setting is accessed by swiping from the bottom of the screen, which is more convenient with this phone with a tall display.
On the security aspect, sorry but you won’t be having the cool in-display fingerprint scanner on this phone. The fingerprint scanner on the Vivo V15 was sitting on the rear; placed on the middle for easy access.
The Vivo V15 has a triple rear camera system composed of a 24MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 5MP depth sensor. By default, the phone takes on 12MP photos with great details and good colors. But if you want a bigger size image, you can activate the 24MP option on the camera app settings, thus giving you a doubled file size. We also like to commend the HDR feature because it works perfectly on the V15.
The Beautification mode now also comes with body shaping features. Now, you can adjust the size of your head, the length of your legs, the width of your waist, shoulder, hips, and your whole body in general. Amazing right!
On the front, the Vivo V15 has the same 32MP pop-up selfie camera just like the one on the Vivo V15 Pro. As expected, the details and the natural skin color are there. The Beautification mode works perfectly by removing blemishes without making your whole face smooth. We really like it and so far, we can say that this is one of the best selfie camera you can get in the market right now.

This regular Vivo V15 has a larger battery capacity compared to its bigger brother – the Vivo V15 Pro with only 3,700 mAh of battery juice. The 4,000 mAh battery on the V15 was able to provide us a whole day of usage but it is not as impressive as other devices with similar battery capacity. Of course, we also need to take into consideration that it has a really huge Full HD display but then again, bringing a powerbank is the best solution specially if you are a hard-core gamer or you just love watching videos most of the time.
The Vivo V15 is a mid-range device that carries most of the latest innovations such as the full view display, elevating selfie camera, and a multi-purpose triple rear camera system. It has a very good built quality and sophisticated design that is very easy to recommend specially to those people who are more particular with the overall appearance of their smartphone. For girls, the Vivo V15 in Blossom Pink that we have here adds more femininity and very distinctive color that cannot be found on most smartphones.
