Reasons to buy the Redmi Note 7

  • More versions to choose from with different price range. The 3GB/32GB model is much cheaper
  • It may have an IPS panel and not as punchy as AMOLED but screen resolution is on Full HD.
  • You can take 48MP shots here. That means better detail in photos.
  • Noticeably better selfies
  • There is a scheduled update to Android Q for this phone. Yey!
  • If you don’t like MIUI and want an app drawer, just download the Poco Launcher 2.0.
  • Faster charging with its 18W fast charger.
  • Snapdragon 660 is faster and more suited for gaming.

Based on the specs and our experience with both phones, we think the Redmi Note 7 is a better buy especially with its three variants to choose as compared to only one with the Galaxy A20. It has a more powerful processor and Xiaomi revealed recently a planned update to Android Q in the future.

As for the Samsung Galaxy A20, it has its own strengths. We think it takes better photos and it has a wide angle camera for IG-worthy shots. Plus, it is a Samsung so rest assured of its quality and excellent after sales service.
