We know the feeling when you have a tight budget and you are looking for the best smartphone that you can get. This has been more difficult because most brands have their own contender on different price point.
The Realme 3 is trying to disrupt this problem with its capable specifications and affordable price point. Want to know more about it? Continue reading our full review.
The Realme 3 has a different form factor compared to most smartphones on its price point. Instead of having a back cover and a side frame, the Realme 3 has a full back cover with uni-body design. Although it is made out of plastic, its back cover looks like more of a glass thanks to its glossy gradient coating. Its curved edges make it also more comfortable to grip.
On the front, this device was equipped with a 6.2-inch display with 720p resolution. Although this might not be the ideal display for most consumers, this is still one of the best you can get on its price point. Other than that, you also get to enjoy a more immersive visual with its tiny drew-drop notch and a more durable display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
We have been surprised by the Helio P60 since it came into the smartphone industry. For those who are still in doubt with MediaTek chipsets, we encourage you to try this device if you happen to see it displayed on malls. Paired with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM, the Realme 3 is one of the most affordable and capable devices that you can get right now.
Other useful features that we like are the Smart Sidebar, App Split-screen, Game Space, and Clone Apps. See the screenshots below:
The Realme 3 sports a dual rear camera composed of a 13MP (f/1.8) main sensor + a 2MP depth sensor. It can actually capture consistently good photos specially during day time. What’s also good to see on this budget-friendly device is the Night Scape Mode which allows you to capture long exposure shot on low-light then gives you an image with better details and brighter compared when shooting in Auto Mode.
There’s also this Chroma Boost feature which basically enhances the vividness of the photo. This is best to use when shooting landscapes and colorful sceneries to further greenery of trees and the blue color of the sky.
The 13MP front camera is also good at taking selfies and groupies. The details are there, skin color remains natural, and the bokeh effect in Portrait Mode is working so clean.

Just like the Realme C1, the new Realme 3 also has a huge 4,230 mAh battery. In real life scenario, the phone can really save the whole day of above average usage like leaving your mobile data, GPS, and Bluetooth turned ON most of the time. Charging time takes around 2 hours and 30 mins with the 10W charger included on the box.
The Realme 3 is a real value for your money. It offers a mid-range performance on a budget-friendly price point. Starts at P6,990, you can get a smartphone with a gradient uni-body design, Helio P60 processor which commonly found on devices worth over 10K, dual rear camera with Night Scape, and a huge 4,230 mAh battery that can last for 2 days of average usage. Realme is really trying to offer the best value for your money and the Realme 3 is just one of their best contender.
