On a price range of P7,990 to P11,490, the Redmi Note 7 is not a typical cheap looking smartphone. It’s sandwich glass body construction makes it more of a premium phone when you hold it.
We also like its curved side frames making it comfortable to use but do take note that it has some weights compared to other phones on its price range.
Just in case you missed it, the Redmi Note 7 was surrounded by Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back. In fact, our review unit is still on its brand new condition even after few months of using it.
The Redmi Note 7 still offers the best display on its price point. You can enjoy a 6.3-inch display with a water-drop notch and small side bezels, a 1080p resolution, and an immersive 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The blacks and sharpness of the display are also good when watching videos.
Using a device with Snapdragon 660 and 4GB of RAM on a below 10K budget is a sure win. The Redmi Note 7 delivers very swift performance and smooth multitasking. The Fingerprint Scanner and Face Unlock features are also very reliable to use.

Another plus feature of this device is the IR Blaster. We enjoyed using it on different types of home appliances like TVs, air conditioner, cable box, and more.
The Redmi Note 7 has a dual rear camera setup composed of a 48MP main sensor and a 5MP depth sensor. Photo details are fine and it produces slightly saturated images than normal. We also noticed that it have some issue with exposure because it turns images darker than we prefer.
The edge detection in Portrait mode is also performing well. At night, the details are still acceptable and noises are very minimal. We also enjoyed using Night Mode most of the time because it can bring more details and light up the shadows.
The 13MP selfie camera is also good in showing the details when taking selfies. Skin color remains natural and edge detection in Portrait Mode works perfectly most of the time.

Its 4,000mAh battery endures our heavy day usage frequently. It has good battery saving feature and energy efficient standby time. Unfortunately, its default charger was only 10W. Good thing, the Redmi Note 7 supports up to QuickCharge 4.0. So we recommend you to buy that kind of charger to enjoy faster charging time.
As of writing this article, the Redmi Note 7 is still the best mid-range smartphone that you can buy on its price point. It offers a premium looking design with beautiful glass cover around it. For the performance, this device is still one of the most affordable devices with Snapdragon 660 plus 4GB of RAM. You also got to enjoy a dual 48MP rear camera and a huge 4,000mAh battery. If you combined everything, the Redmi Note 7 is a real jam-packed feature smartphone and still a great deal for consumers with below 12K budget.
