The new Huawei P30 Series are now available in the market. The most affordable model is the Huawei P30 Lite that retails for only P16,990.
With that price point near to the Huawei Nova 3i, the question is, what are the qualities of the Huawei P30 Lite that makes it a worthy member of the P30 Series and a better option compared to the Nova 3i? Let’s find out!
The new Huawei P30 Lite has a slimmer body as compared to the Huawei Nova 3i while its overall look is more likely similar to the Nova 3 with just the triple rear camera and the water-drop notch on the front. By the way, the color of our unit was called Peacock Blue with the dual tone gradient design and we really love it.
Like most Huawei phone, the volume rockers and the power button are on the right side.
On the bottom part, it has the loud speaker grills, a microphone, a USB Type-C port, and the audio jack port.
On the top, it has another microphone and the hybrid SIM tray.
We love the vibrant display of the Huawei P30 Lite. As compared to other entry-level and mid-range Huawei smartphones, the P30 Lite has more vividness and color saturation on its display.
It also has a more immersive 6.15-inch display with the smaller water-drop notch and slimmer side bezels.
As expected, the Huawei P30 Lite’s performance was just very similar to the Nova 3i. In fact, they shares the same Kirin 710 processor. For multi-tasking, the P30 Lite has a better advantage with its 6GB of RAM as compared to the 4GB on the Nova 3i.
The triple rear camera setup is what makes the P30 Lite stands-out to the rest of the Huawei mid-rangers. It has a 24MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. So far, the rear cameras are performing really well except for the Auto Mode in low-light, some of the details are being smoothened to reduce the noise. Thanks to its Super Night Mode, you can still take a better low light shot by just holding still for few seconds. The extra ultra-wide angle lens is also a nice addition to its camera system.
On the front, it has a massive 32MP shooter than can capture really sharp selfies and groupfies. It also has a light compensating feature during low-light that minimized the camera display and creates a white border with maximum screen brightness which is very helpful specially when there’s no enough light.

The P30 Lite houses a 3,340 mAh of battery. Based on our usage, it managed to keep up with our daily lifestyle. We are able to use it all day with mobile data always ON and using social media most of the time. But unlike its higher siblings, the P30 Lite has an average battery life. Though, it has an 18W of fast charging technology that can easily cope up whenever you want to recharge it real quick.
The Huawei P30 Lite is more of an upgraded version of the Huawei Nova 3i. They share the same Kirin 710 processor, 128GB of internal storage, and 3,340 mAh of battery. But the Huawei P30 Lite has some upgrades including the 6GB of RAM, triple rear camera, a more immersive display, a USB Type-C port, and a faster charging technology. So far, we are enjoying the review unit that we have, the super vibrant display, its slim form factor, and awesome design are just some of the notable features we truly like about it.
