Canon announces the new EOS 200D II: The World’s Lightest DSLR

Canon is proud to announce the release of the EOS 200D II, the world’s lightest digital SLR camera equipped with an APS-C size imaging sensor and a Vari-angle touch screen LCD monitor.

This latest addition to the EOS DSLR line-up boasts of a lightweight and compact body that is heavy on features and now powered by Canon’s latest DIGIC 8 imaging processor and is now capable of recording 4K videos.

The Canon EOS 200D II has a 24.1MP APS-C CMOS sensor and a wide ISO range of 100 to 25,600 that is still expandable up to 51,200. And though similar in size to its predecessor, the new EOS 200D II weighs less at approximately 449g (black/silver), making it the lightest digital SLR camera to date.

It also has the Dual Pixel Auto Focus technology and minimum AF luminance of EV-4. The EOS 200D II also features Auto Lighting Optimizer and it can shoot up to 5 frames per second.

The EOS 200D II also offers simple and convenient solutions to transfer files wirelessly between devices. Using the camera’s dedicated Wi-Fi button, connecting and transferring photos to a smart device is just a touch away, enabling users to shoot and upload to social media platforms or cloud storage without any extra steps. It also has Bluetooth so you can easily view files and control the camera remotely.
