OPPO F11 Pro Review: Premium design and good display

OPPO Philippines has officially launched the new OPPO F11 Pro here in the country. It has some good features that can be found on flagship smartphones like the notchless panoramic display, motorized pop-up selfie camera, and oh, let us not forget the 48MP rear camera.

The new OPPO F11 Pro has a better-looking body compared to the older OPPO F Series. This one looks very premium actually. With its glass-like back cover and symmetrical design, the OPPO F11 Pro is a sure upgrade if you are owning any OPPO F-series or OPPO A-series smartphones. Just take note that its back cover was actually made from plastic which is a very smudged magnet and easy to be scratch. So we recommend you to use the included protective case starting from day 1.

Say goodbye to notches because the new OPPO F11 Pro features a panoramic display with a very minimal side bezels. It’s like having the beauty of the OPPO Find X on a much affordable version.

In terms of the display itself, of course it has a huge 6.5-inch screen size with 90.90% screen-to-body ratio. It has a vibrant display, good color reproduction, and sharp details.

OS, APPS, and UI

The interface that you see above is the new Game Space app where-in you can store all your games and open them with optimized performance. This new game feature is just one of the new things about the OPPO F11 Pro.

This device was also equipped with the latest ColorOS 6.0 which now gives you an app drawer and an improved user interface.

The OPPO F11 Pro has an upgraded Mediatek Helio P70 processor paired with 6GB of RAM. This gives us uninterrupted gaming and multi-tasking. We actually never encountered severe heating specially when using the device for gaming.

But just in case you are still thinking that Mediatek processors are not that good, well we advise you to at least try this one when it hits the stores or even the OPPO F9 with Helio P60.

The camera part has a mix of good news and slightly bad news. Let’s talk first about what’s excites us the most about the new OPPO F11 Pro. Of course, we all know it has a 48MP main sensor on its rear camera paired with a 5MP for better depth sensing. This is a huge upgrade compared to the 16MP + 2MP on the OPPO F9. While for the selfie camera, it has a motorized pop-up 16MP front-facing camera. Most consumers might think that it is a downgrade because of the lower pixel size but in reality, there’s no big issue about it. We feel that the output images are just the same as the OPPO F9. Also, it’s just so sad to see that this device can’t even record a video in 4K resolution. Maybe you can still get it through software update but for now, you are stuck on 1080p video recording.

The OPPO F11 Pro now has a 4,000 mAh battery which is 500 mAh higher compared to the previous F series smartphone. This was also accompanied by the improved VOOC 3.0 flash charge technology.

On a daily basis, the OPPO F11 Pro surpass our daily activities leaving a couple percentage on the battery when we get back into our home. Recharging the device has never been a problem because you can do it while taking a bath before going to bed or just charge it tomorrow before leaving the house. Either of the two choices are so easy with the VOOC 3.0 flash charge.

We can consider the new OPPO F11 Pro as a real upgrade for the whole F series with the panoramic bezel-less display, premium glass-like back cover, and the whopping 48MP rear camera. We truly love the design of the OPPO F11 Pro as a whole because only few devices have this kind of premiumness on its price-point. On the other side, the lack of 4K video recording and not having a USB Type-C port are the major downsides that we could mention here. But if you are okay with those two, the OPPO F11 Pro might be the sweetest deal you can get on a price point of below 20K.
