MWC 2019: LG V50 ThinQ, G8 ThinQ and G8s ThinQ

LG is still omitted on making smartphones despite the losses it continues to incur on its mobile division. And at the MWC 2019, LG announcee three new flagships – the LG V50 ThinQ, LG G8 ThinQ and LG G8s ThinQ.

Let’s talk about the LG V50 ThinQ. This is LG’s first 5G-capable smartphone and of course, it is powered by Snapdragon 855 chipset. The company did not have a foldable phone to showcase in the event but it did made a case for the V50 with a second 6,.2-inch display.

The LG G8 ThinQ is the company’s 2019 flagship. The company did not offer features that what we saw in Samsung’s Galaxy S10 series but instead, they offered something different to their customers. LG calls it Hand ID which unlocks the phone via the phone’s infrared sensor at the screen as it reads your hand’s veins. The phone does have Snapdragon 855 but does not have 5G modem. It does not have an earpiece and phone calls can be heard from the upper portion of the screen as it produces sound via sound vibration.
