Google is shutting down Google+ on April 2

Google has officially announced that it is shutting down its own social media network Google+.

Google+ was officially launched in 2011 as a social media platform aimed to compete with Facebook and Twitter. Though many signed up since if you have a Google account, you automatically have a Google+ account. Unfortunately, only few were very active using Google+.

On April 2, 2019, Google will start shutting down personal accounts on Google+. If you are active there, you can download all your data and save before Google shuts it down. All photos uploaded on Google Photos won’t be deleted though. On February 4, you won’t be able to sign up for a new account on Google+ anymore.

It so sad to see Google+ shutting down because we are also active on the said social media platform very few really used it.
