Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ Now Getting Android 9.0 Pie with Samsung’s One UI in Select Countries

Weeks after the announcement of the Samsung One UI on Android 9.0 Pie beta program, the company has begun seeding Android 9.0 Pie final and stable update for the Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+ in select countries.

Countries in Europe such as Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Netherlands are the first to get the update as of this writing. Countries in the Middle East such as United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Turkey have begun getting the update as well.

Samsung brings a cleaner and simpler look for the new One UI on top of Android Pie with less bloat, icon changes and cleaner look in the settings.

According to Samsung’s roadmap of Android Pie updates, the Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+ will be the first to get the update by January 2018 followed by the Galaxy Note 9 on February. For Galaxy S9/S9+ owners in the Philippines, all we have to do now is wait.
