BUILD QUALITY
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a very solid build quality. The matrix camera layout and the twilight color adds a unique physical attribute to the device making it standout on the crowd. The glass back cover and the curve edges results to a premium feel when holding the device.
DISPLAY QUALITY
The Mate 20 Pro has a beautiful AMOLED display with 2K resolution. We love how the screen melts on the side bezels of the phone. The 19.5:9 aspect ratio makes the display looks taller as compared to the usual Huawei Mate device. The colors are vivid, sharpness is on point, and viewing experience is constant on any angle.
SOFTWARE, OS, AND UI
This device is now running under Android 9.0 Pie with Huawei’s own EMUI 9.0. The overall experience is very smooth and superb. If you don’t like the notch, you can add a black bar by activating it on the Settings. You can also enjoy the new gesture navigation of Android Pie that then adds larger screen estate and improves your viewing experience.
PERFORMANCE
The Kirin 980 provides a top-tier performance. You can maximized the full potential of the phone by activating the Performance mode on the Battery section on Settings. Paired with 6GB RAM, multi-tasking is not a problem and playing high-graphic games is an ease with this phone.

BATTERY LIFE
The Mate 20 Pro has a huge 4,200mAh battery. We are able to use the Mate 20 Pro for more than a day of regular usage. When the Performance Mode was turned ON, it can boost the overall speed of the device but shortens the battery life. Good thing, it has a 40W Super Charge technology that can fill-up the battery from 10%-100% in an average of 1 hour and 10 minutes.
VERDICT
We can easily recommend the Huawei Mate 20 Pro specially for people who are looking for a flagship device with premium build quality, good display, top of the line performance, efficient battery life, and superb cameras. Aside from that, other bonus features such as IP68 water/dust resistant rating, wireless charging, in-display fingerprint scanner, and secure IR Face ID are what makes the Huawei Mate 20 Pro a real flagship device and can really competes with other smartphone from other brands.
