OPPO Realme 2 Announced


Well, this is quite a surprise. OPPO has announced the OPPO Realme 2, a few months after the release of its predecessor, the Realme 1 or the OPPO F7 Youth in the Philippines.

Realme is a subrand of OPPO in India. If it comes here, it will be  carrying OPPO’s branding. Specs are quite interesting as the Realme 2 does have a Mediatek chipset but a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450. You get different memory options there. It has a slightly larger screen and battery too.

OPPO Realme 2 specs:

  • 1.8GHz octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor
  • Adreno 506 graphics
  • 4GB RAM/64GB internal storage
  • 3GB RAM/32GB internal storage
  • Expandable storage via microSD up to 256GB
  • 6.2-inch HD IPS LCD display (1520 x 720 pixels) 19:9 aspect ratio
  • 13 MP (f/2.2 aperture), autofocus + 2 MP (depth sensor) rear facing cameras
  • 8 megapixel front facing camera
  • Dual SIM, Dual Standby
  • 4G’LTE WiFi, Bluetooth, Fingerprint Scanner
  • GPS, A-GPS
  • 4,230 mAh battery
  • Android 8.1 Oreo with ColorOS 5.1

The OPPO Realme 2 will be available first in India then in Southeast Asia and Middle East. In India, it is priced at 8,990 Indian Rupees for the 3GB/32GB model while the 4GB/64GB model is at 10,990 Indian Rupees.
