The OPPO F7 that we have is the color red and we like it very much because it looks premium and elegant. The front panel is all black when the display is off and it is a perfect combination from the color red. Compared to the older OPPO F5, the new F7 now has a glossy back cover and a “notch” on its display.

Volume rocker

The volume rocker is on the left side of the phone.

Card slot and power button

The tri-slot SIM / memory card slot, and the power button are on the right side.

The bottom houses the micro-USB port (sorry no USB Type-C), the main microphone, and the speaker grill.

The back of the phone includes rear camera, LED flash, fingerprint scanner and the OPPO logo.

The Notch 2

On the top of the phone is a secondary microphone.

Rear camera

The upper front panel of the device sports a notch which includes the earpiece and the 25MP front camera.

The Notch

It has a 6.23-inch IPS display with the aspect ratio of 19:9. The display is great, the color reproduction and the saturation are good even under the sunlight.

The OPPO F7 has its own customize OS called ColorOS 5.0 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. The UI is clean and not too much bloatware. The Quick Settings has also moved by swiping down from the notch of the phone.

The benchmark of OPPO F7 is so promising and it is because of the Helio P60. The Helio P60 is new from the line-up of Mediatek processors which is announced last January in MWC Barcelona 2018.

The OPPO F7 brings a newer processor which is the Helio P60 and Mali-G72 GPU which can handle heavy-graphic games. It has an attractive design with the reflective back of the phone, and the “notch” is just a symbol of trend today. Does the new OPPO F7 captures you? Find out more in the full review soon.
