One word to describe the Starmobile UP Selfie is generic.. Its not a bad thing actually. Though the design is quite common, Starmobile continues its “tatagal” mantra by offering solidly built smartphones that will last.

The chassis can be mistaken for metal but it is actually plastic and it seems to be a good one. We were also amazed on how light and thin this smartphone is. Putting it on our pockets feels like we were carrying a hanky. That’s how light it is. Included freebies such as a jelly case and a tempered glass is much appreciated. No need to buy separately.

Starmobile did some customizations on top of Android 7.0 Nougat and there were some useful pre-installed apps such as Starmobile Care and Star Phone. Overall it is pretty smooth though we have not installed our usual apps.

For the cameras, we have a dual camera set up for selfies – two 13 megapixel shooters with one being the wide angle lens. We managed to take a few photos and we were quite impressed with the shots. We will explore more of its camera capabilities for our full review. Photos below were taken in a low light area and settings on auto mode.

Starmobile has not lost touch when it comes to their product’s durability. We also love what they’ve done with the Starmobile UP Selfie’s camera as well. There are still areas to review deeper for our full review but if you are liking what you see here, we give our nod of approval if you are buying one. 😊
