The OPPO F3’s design looks a lot like its predecessor, the OPPO F1s. It is becoming a bit stale for us and we hope OPPO’s future smartphones will no longer look like this anymore. Other than that we have nothing to complain with the looks department.

The 5.5-inch is on full HD which a great upgrade from its predecessor’s 720p display. It is brighter with punchier colors and sunlight legibility is excellent. Worry not about scatches since the OPPO F3 has a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for its added protection.

Just like the F3 Plus, the regular F3 now runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. OPPO does not really care much on what Android version you get since they have a thick layer of ColorOS 3.0 on top. It is clean and very simple. If you are coming from an iOS device,

The difference between the regular F3 and the larger sibling is the camera. The regular F3 has a smaller f/2.2 aperture than the F3 Plus with its f/1.7 aperture. It means it will bring in less light and that is evident on our photos. It is still a good point and shoot camera overall. It takes really nice photos in well lit areas.

Of course its main feature are the dual selfie cameras. Just like the F3 Plus, it has two lenses – one for regular selfies and the other is a wide angle lens perfect for groupfies. Check out some of our sample photos below.

All necessary connectivity options are standard – 4G/LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and Fingerprint Scanner. Internet speeds may be location and network dependent and we get decent speeds based on our tests. Signal quality is surprisingly decent too. Calls are clear with no issues and fingerprint scanner works very well and unlocks the device quickly.

We are happy to report that we get more out of its battery. For us, the 3,200 mAh battery on paper is just average but we are surprised to reach 12 hours of mix moderate to heavy use. That includes various video watching activities from You Tube, Netflix, I Want TV, social media, email and hotspot.

The OPPO F3 is truly offering something different to selfie-loving Filipinos. We love to take groupfies with family and friends so we want to make sure everyone fits in the photo. Great UI experience, good build quality, decent rear camera, stable signal quality. This is truly your best option for those precious groupfies.

If you are thinking of upgrading from the OPPO F1s, we think it is a good move since you are getting real upgrades here.
