We’ve just reached end of January but there were several smartphones announced during this month. Some of these new phones got us really excited based on their specs and features. We picked some of the newly released phones that will we think will fit based on your needs, features and budget.
Cloudfone Next Lite
We were able only get a quick hands on from a unit given to our friends from GizGuide.com and we must say it is a great device. The Next Lite, from the name itself suggests, is the less-spec version of the flagship Cloudfone Next. It still has the same Snapdragon 430 chipset but only has 3GB RAM as compared to the flagship with 4GB RAM. The 13 megapixel shooter is very capable as well. We have yet to determine how good the phone is when we get our review unit. Price is at P7,999.
ASUS announced the Zenfone 3 Max by November 2016 and pre-orders commenced shortly after. But it was towards the end of 2016 that the device was made available in stores. Its best selling feature – that 4,100 mAh battery. The all-metal unibody design looks classy and durable plus it has an ASUS badge of excellence when it comes to value and features – P10,995.
One of the Android OEMs who first introduced their offerings for the year is Huawei. The Chinese company introduced two new smartphones and one of which is the mid range Huawei GR5 2017. For starters, the device has two rear cameras similar to the Huawei P9. Both cameras work together to achieve great photos with signature bokeh effects achieved normally by mirrorless cameras. It is priced – P13,990.
When it comes to selfies, Vivo has brought something new to the table and this is the Vivo V5 Plus, Upping the ante, the Vivo V5 Plus has two selfie cameras – one 20 megapixel and 8 megapixel. Both front cameras work together to take great selfies, a first in a smartphone. We are currently reviewing the Vivo V5 Plus as of this writing. It is priced at P19,990.
Infinix Zero 4 Plus
We were not present when Infinix Mobile Philippines presented the Infinix Zero 4 Plus to bloggers since we are still recovering from our recent confinement at the hospital. But from what we’ve heard from our fellow bloggers, it has a great camera, great build quality and a large 6-inch display. The Zero 4 Plus is powered by Mediatek’s Helio X20 deca core processor. We have yet to review it to determine its performance once we get our review unit. It is priced at P14,990.
