The partnership between Starmobile and Smart continues with the newly announced Starmobile Play Max. Its main selling point is the large 4,000 mAh battery. Just like the Play Click, it is also bundled with Smart’s Super Pack SIM. We have one for review. Let’s take it out of the box!

We were very pleased to see the Starmobile Play Max out of the box and its freebies inside. The device is gorgeous with brushed metal design at the back. Well the back is actually plastic but the metal look is a nice touch. Moving on the front side of the device we were greeted with a 5-inch display which is on HD. Overall, look and feel is solid and well built, one thing we like about Starmobile’s phones.

Buttons and ports check:

  • Left – nothing
  • Right – volume rockers and power button
  • Bottom – speaker grill and microphone
  • Top – 3.5mm headset jack and USB charging port
  • Back – 8 megapixel camera with flash
  • Front – 5-inch display, three capacitive buttons, sensors, 5 megapixel camera with flash

The SIM 1 is locked only to the SIM card provided but good thing SIM 2 is open to any SIM of any network. We will be testing the Starmobile Play Max for about two weeks. We will be using the SIM card provided and we be definitely keep an eye with the battery. 🙂
