If you’re graduating this March, congratulations! You deserve something nice for all the hard work you’ve done. But aside from being really rewarding, it should also be useful in the next chapter of your life, be it a new school or a new job. More often than not, it’s a gadget, more specifically a smartphone. That’s why Lenovo announced a smartphone line-up perfect for the occasion.
For The Power Professionals
College graduates are both anxious and excited to face the “real world”, and so they need a device that can both power them through the day at their first job but still last until they get home or go out with their old college friends or new officemates. For these types of people, Lenovo suggests the Lenovo VIBE P1 and VIBE P1m. Both smartphones have big batteries, 5,000 mAh and 4,000 mAh, respectively, perfect for busy young professionals.

The VIBE P1 has a physical power saving switch that instantly extends battery life. If that’s not enough, it also has a 24W quick charge function. It’s powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 615 64-bit octa-core processor and features 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras. What’s interesting is that the VIBE P1 can act as a powerbank for other smartphones through OTG (On-the-Go) adapters and cables. The VIBE P1m, on the other hand is powered by a MediaTek 64-bit quad-core processor and also features a quick charge function. The VIBE P1 is priced at P14,999 while the VIBE P1m is priced at P7,999.
For The Out-of-the-Box Thinkers
Graduations are snap-worthy moments, Lenovo is offering the VIBE S1 for those who love taking selfies. It’s the first smartphone to feature a dual-lens front facing camera set-up. Like similar rear camera setups, the second lens is supposed to measure the depth of the subjects in the photo, thus allowing one to refocus the photo even after the photo has already been taken. There are also neat software tricks that cutout the people in the selfie and create a different background for them. On the rear is a 13-megapixel camera with a single LED flash. 64-bit MediaTek Octa-Core processor complemented with 3GB of RAM and is 4G LTE capable. The phone is priced at Php15,999 and comes with a free screen protector and back cover.
For The Go-Getters
On a budget but want better smartphone specs? Lenovo is also offering the Lenovo A700. It has a Full-HD display, powered by a 1.7 GHz Octa-core processor with 2GB of RAM and is 4G LTE capable. It also has 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front facing cameras. Aside from that, it has a 3,000 mAh battery. Everything sounds decent, perfect for a young professional’s first real smartphone. On top of that, the A700 is priced at just P7,999 and also comes with a free screen protector and back cover.. If you’re looking for the perfect budget smartphone, this might be it.
