So, you’re probably still recovering from the holiday haze of activities. With everything happening left and right the past few weeks, we were glad to have had the Acer Liquid Z330 to keep up with our social calendar. • Status: Available at Acer stores and retailers

The best thing about this phone is that it’s light and easy to use. Perfect for the season where you need to be on the go. It comfortably fits into your hand with curved edge design that nestles nicely on your palm. The Acer Liquid Z330 can also be operated single handedly without any fear of dropping it. It has a textured back similar to Samsung’s S3 but with a pearl like finish. You can choose between white or black.

The Acer Liquid  Z330 has 4.5-inch IPS LCD display with Adreno 304 graphics to give you an impressive experience at this price tag. Though you would need to toggle the brightness of the screen under direct sunlight, it remains manageable. The phone’s speakers are pretty clear and loud enough for room use.

The powerful Android 5.1 Lollipop is this phone’s backbone. So, you have no worries about being able to experience the latest apps available to the bigger android phones. Just make sure that you keep to one to two apps at a time as this phone runs on 1 GB RAM. The usual social media apps like Facebook, Messenger and Instagram experience very few lags between app switches.

The Acer Liquid Z330 is an entry level LTE phone and it being as small as it is, expect that it comes with a small battery. The 2000 maH battery is good to get you through around 3-4 hours with internet use. Once offline, this phone can last about 6-8 hours keeping your entertained and still connected with calls and messaging. A tip is to always toggle your internet when in use and toggle off when not going online.

The Acer Liquid Z330 had LTE connectivity. We were able to experience LTE connection in the metro but not in mountains of Baguio. The calls came in clear and messaging on time. Internet was sufficient enough to keep up with all the holiday happenings. We primarily tested this phone out on Smart and have no complaints. We liked the constant signal search the phone does which helps when you’re travelling.

The 5MP rear primary camera may be this phone’s short coming and compensates with the 5MP front facing camera. We still came back with pretty impressive photographs. The 5MP front facing camera makes the phone more personal. After all, everyone was on their selfie A game last holiday season.

For an entry level phone, the Acer Liquid Z330 is definitely a good buy. It keeps things simple, easy to use and highly functional. If you’re looking for a phone to start off with until you get comfortable with the navigation, this phone is it. It’s the perfect gift all year round especially to for your young cousins or those that are technologically intimidated, like my Lola. It’s been a busy holiday season but Acer Liquid Z330 really made a difference. It kept us connected to the people we need to feel closest to.
