TAG Heuer Launches $1500 Smartwatch Powered By Intel And Android Wear

After the Hermes x Apple collaboration for the Apple Watch announced last October, it seems that more luxury brands want to get into the game and ride this rapidly rising trend. TAG Heuer, the famous Swiss watchmaker, is the newest luxury brand to ride the bandwagon.

Inspired by the TAG Heuer Carrera, this watch includes a titanium case and signature vulcanized rubber strap in seven striking colors. In addition, its high-resolution, transflective sapphire glass display makes it easy to check the time and other important info—even in the bright sun. Also, it works with both Android and iOS devices. It not only sounds fancy because with a price tag of $1500 dollars or about P70,000, the TAG Heuer Connected is nothing short of a luxury.

The price tag also comes with a promise of a 360×360 240 PPI display, IP67 splash-proof water resistance certification, 410mAh battery, a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB RAM and 4GB of memory. On top of that, the Connected smartwatch also runs Android Wear giving it access to 4,000 apps made for wearables.

The best news? Eventually, TAG Heuer will allow customers to trade their Connected watched for a classic TAG Heuer watch, just in case customers get tired of their wearables.
