Apple fans, rejoice! The long awaited, most wanted Apple Watch is now available in the Philippines, thanks to Power Mac Center. The well-known Apple reseller formally announced this great news in an event held last October 23 in Power Mac’s flagship store in Greenbelt 3. In attendance in the said event were members of the online and offline press.

Announced last September 9, 2014, the Apple watch is the tech giant’s first foray into wearables. The watch not only features health and fitness tracking but also creates a more intimate connection with its wearer.

Primarily designed to allow its user to quickly respond to notifications like calls, texts, email and even social media notifications with the raise of the wrist, the Apple Watch also introduces ways of responding through a sketch, a tap or even using the rhythm of one’s heartbeat.

Apple also offers customization options for the Apple Watch. It comes in three models, the aluminum Apple Watch Sport, the stainless steel Apple Watch, and the solid gold Apple Watch Edition in two sizes, the 42-mm and 38-mm. As the watch face is customizable, owners can choose from a variety ranging from classic watch faces to animated ones. Straps that come in stainless steel, leather, and fluoroelastomer are also available and can be easily interchanged. With a wide range of finish and strap options, the possible combinations, the Apple Watch is now the most customizable wearable available on the market.

Apple Watch runs on Watch OS 2 and supports most iOS apps, but it has its own integrated fitness and health apps. These allow for measuring every physical activity, even sleep and nutrition, and breaks limitations for just the gym.

“Apple Watch is a reimagining of the watch as we know it. It’s a unique timepiece with innovative features perfect for any Filipino lifestyle – be it for fitness enthusiasts, working professionals, even fashion-savvy ones,” said Ivan Ambrosio, Assistant Brand Manager of Apple for Power Mac Center.

We’re excited to see, however, if the new Hermes straps announced last month will be made available here in the future.

Anyone interested may visit Power Mac Center Greenbelt 3 and TriNoma starting October 3, 2015. Prices start at P19,990 for the Apple Watch Sport. The Apple Watch Sport and the Apple Watch are available in TriNoma and Greenbelt 3 while the more exclusive Apple Watch Edition is only available in Power Mac Center Greenbelt 3.
