Canon has announced new EF 35mm f/1.4L II prime lens to hit the US this coming October 2015. This has the photo world a buzz in anticipation for the brand’s wide angle fixed-focal length Canon EF lens. So are we.

This is camera giant Canon’s first lens that utilizes the new Blue Spectrum Refractive Optics (BR Optics) technology that boasts of higher image quality. Users should expect less Chromatic aberration (CA) / color fringing on their photos.
The EF 35mm f/1.4L II prime lens houses 14 elements (2 Aspherical and 1 Ultra Low Dispersion) in 11 groups. It has a minimum focusing distance of 0.28mm and also sports a 9-blade circular aperture. Hence, users can expect impressive bokeh in photographs. Compared to the previous version, the new 35mm is also more durable and made to be resistant to dust and water.
