Meizu M2 Announced!


No guys, this is not the M2 Note. Meizu has announced a smaller version of it – the Meizu M2. It has a smaller 5-inch display, a quad core processor, 13 megapixel rear camera with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection for the lens and running Android 5.1 Lollipop. It is said to be even more affordable than the M2 Note.


Meizu M2:

  • 1.3GHz Quad Core Mediatek MT6735 processor
  • Mali T720 MP2 graphics
  • 2GB RAM
  • 16GB internal storage expandable via MicroSD up to 128GB (uses SIM 2 slot)
  • 5-inch HD IPS LCD display (720 x 1280 pixels)
  • Asahi Dragontrail Glass
  • 13 megapixel rear facing camera with autofocus and LED flash covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to protect the lens
  • 5 megapixel front facing camera
  • Dual SIM, Dual Standby
  • 4G/LTE, 3G/HSPA+, WiFi, WiFI hotspot, Bluetooth
  • 2,500 mAh battery
  • Android 5.1 Lollipop with Flyme UI 4.5

The Meizu M2 Note has a price tag of $112 (around P5,000) which will directly compete against the Xiaomi Redmi 2. No word yet about its availability outside of China but we believe our friends from Novo7 Tech, Meizu’s exclusive Philippine distributor will bring this phone soon. 🙂
