These phones took different paths when it comes to design. The Cosmos One Plus has more rounded corners while the Knight X has a more edgy design. Now that will be a matter of your preference. But if you are going to ask us, we prefer the more edgy design since we are Sony Xperia fans.

The Knight X has a stronger external speaker audio output than the Cosmos One Plus but when you plug in your third-party earphones both sound good when playing streaming music like Spotify.

The Knight X’s SIM card trays uses a SIM card ejector while the Cosmos One Plus SIM trays are found underneath the back cover right above the battery. One advantage of the Cosmos One Plus is the removable battery. It means if your phone freezes for a long time, it is easy to remove the battery. How bout the Knight X? Never worry about stutters and freezes because we never encountered any of that.

Both phones used different display technologies. The Knight X has a 5.5-inc Full HD IPS LCD display while the Cosmos One Plus has 5.5-inch Full HD LTPS display. We did some research and found that LTPS displays are more power efficient than IPS LCDs. But looking at both displays, it is hard to distinguish which is better than the other. Both are vivid, bright, good outdoor visibility and with good color saturation.

When it comes to performance, we noticed some differences.  This may probably because both phones used different chipsets but from the same maker. The Knight X is extremely fluid, extremely fast and very responsive. We never had any incidents of lags which is surprisingly impressive. The Cosmos One Plus is also fast and responsive but during our time with it, we encountered some lags and stutters while loading Dead Trigger 2 or if we left so many apps running at the background.

Sony’s IMX sensors are installed on both phones. It is hardly to distinguish which is better than the other. Both rear facing cameras performed great but we think that the Knight X has more edge when it comes to no light and LED flash performance.

The Knight X has better call quality using both Smart and Globe SIMs. Voice quality coming from the Cosmos One Plus seems to be muffled and weak even if both SIMs are on their full signal strength. Internet connection quality varies on your location. LTE service from Globe and Smart works fine.

We obviously have a winner here. The Knight X’s 3,350 mah battery lasts longer than the 2,700 mAh battery on the Cosmos One Plus. We managed to squeeze in 5 hours of screen on time and 10 hours of moderate to heavy usage.

Well it is hard to decide which one to get. If you are looking for a more affordable top notch smartphone, then look anywhere else and pick the Cosmos One Plus. But if you can shell out additional P2,000 more, then get the Knight X and we think it is a better catch.
