O+ 360 Hands On and First Impressions

We visited the O+ store in SM North Edsa a few days ago to check out the O+ 360 and its more spec-buffed sibling, the O+ 360 Extreme.  Unfortunately, the 360 Extreme is not yet available. The nice ladies at the O+ store were kind enough to let us play around with the O+ 360. Here’s our first impressions with it.

Please pardon our camera. It sucks! 🙂

O+ 360:

  • 1.3GHz Quad Core Mediatek MT6582 processor
  • Mali 400MP graphics
  • 1GB RAM
  • 8GB internal memory expandable via MicroSD up to 32GB
  • 5-inch qHD IPS LCD display (960 x 540 pixels)
  • 8 megapixel rear facing camera with autofocus and LED flash
  • 5 megapixel front facing camera
  • Dual SIM (regular + mini), Dual Standby
  • HSPA+, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth
  • GPS, A-GPS
  • 2,000 mAh Li-Ion battery
  • Android 4.4 Kitkat
  • SRP: P6,390
  • Status: Available at O+ stores

There’s nothing new with the phone’s design. It is just like any other O+ smartphones we’ve seen. Its rounded body makes the phone easier to hold. We just find the plastic chassis a little slippery. Good thing it doesn’t attract fingerprints that much. But what might catch your attention is the touch enabled back cover. It functions like Blackberry’s iconic trackpad were you can swipe the back while you browse the web or take pictures. The back cover responds to touch very well and we ended up using it a lot. 🙂

The O+ 360 has a 5-inch qHD display which is fairly decent and has good viewing angles. Having 8GB of internal storage is becoming the norm these days so if you are looking for a phone with a bigger internal storage, you might want to take good look at this one. Overall performance is generally smooth and lag free during our time with it.

We also did some camera tests and our sample photos from the 8 megapixel rear camera are surprisingly good. Color saturation, sharpness and exposure levels are all good.

Two thumbs up for the O+ 360! This phone is ideal for #selfielords because of the phone’s unique gesture features when taking selfies. Decent camera, smooth performance, affordable price tag – the O+ 360 will be a perfect Christmas gift for your loved ones.
