Actually, the Kata F1s is an upgrade of the Kata F1, the company’s entry level smartphone. Kata Digital made some significant upgrades from the previous model – bigger 1GB RAM and bigger battery but still maintains the old F1’s original design, same processor, display size, screen resolution and camera.

We’ve seen the older Kata F1 and we must say there’s some notable changes on the outside like there’s a Kata logo above the 4.5-inch display and a better Kata branding at the back. It may confuse some because of the awkward dual SIM card placements at the back of the phone. SIM1 only houses a micro SIM while SIM2 is a regular SIM port. Micro SD card expansion is situated beside the SIM 1 port. Volume rockers are on the left, power button on the left, MicroUSB port and 3.5mm headphone jack at the top.

The phone feels very sturdy and solid when holding it for the first time. The 4.5-inch screen is bright and vivid with very good viewing angles although we have test it how it fares under direct sunlight and outdoor use. So far we have no complains with its fluidity. In fact, we are excited to install our favorite games to test the phone’s capabilities especially with its upgraded 1GB RAM.

That’s all for now our friends. Just a give us a week to test everything – camera, performance, call quality, gaming and battery life. So far we are definitely impressed with the phone’s sturdy build, nice screen and smooth performance.
