Android-powered smartphone users are growing in the Philippines and more users are downloading apps from the Google Play Store. Unfortunately, most apps downloaded from the store are free and many still hesitate to download premium apps due non-ownership of credit card or doesn’t want to use credit card as their mode of payment. According to a study, only 4% of Filipinos own a credit card.
Now, with your Globe postpaid or prepaid account, you can now purchase premium apps! No credit cards needed! “Globe has always prioritized a differentiated customer experience. Our goal is to provide products and services that make our customers’ lives easier and more convenient especially now that more and more people are going mobile. The convenience of purchasing your favorite apps and in-app items using your Globe load or postpaid bill really makes a wonderful difference to our customers’ overall experience with Globe,” shares Globe Vice President for Digital Media Glenn Estrella.
Here are the steps:
- Just select a premium app on the Google Play Store they wish to purchase
- Accept the app permissions and then select “Continue”.
- On payment options, select “Enable Globe Billing”.
- Register your number, name and address.
- Select “Continue” after agreeing with the Terms of Service.
- You’ll receive a confirmation message.
For succeeding purchases, you’ll only need to enter your Google ID and password to continue processing the payment. Go to Globe’s website http://www.globe.com.ph or dial 730-1010 on your landline or 211 on mobile to know more.
