BlackBerry is still alive! Actually, to our surprise, BlackBerry even remained popular even here in the Philippines. We still see a lot of people using BlackBerry’s current smartphones like the Z10, the Q5 and the Z30. The company changed its strategy and focus as they are now focused on software and services. They also partnered with Foxconn, a Taiwanse electronics contract manufacturer to make BlackBerry smartphones and distributes them. Foxconn is also the partner of Apple in making hardware components for the iPhone and the iPad, Amazon for the Kindle line of tablets and smartphones, Sony for the Playstation , Microsoft for the XBox One, and Nintendo for the Wii U. Today, BlackBerry remains popular on African countries and South East Asian countries like Indonesia, India and Thailand.
The BlackBerry Z3 is one of the company’s latest offerings this year together the BlackBerry Classic and Passport (both with physical QWERTY keyboards) which will be arriving later this year. The Z3 is a midrange smartphone with decent specs.
