Before I give my likes and dislikes, I just want to give you a heads up.  If u are intend to get this phone with a postpaid plan better hurry up because stocks are running out fast. Both Huawei Ascend Mate and Ascend P6 are Globe’s hot selling devices. A friend applied for a postpaid plan with a free Huawei Ascend Mate. She’s been at Globe Stores in SM Manila, Robinsons Manila, SM Mall of Asia, Glorietta and Greenbelt and both phones are out of stock. I suggest you try Globe Stores that are not crowded like the ones in SM Makati, Powerplant Mall, The Podium (Are they still open? I know they are renovating) or at Eastwood Mall. They may still have stocks.

  • Premium built.
  • Will be mistaken for an iPhone 5.
  • Very thin, nice to hold
  • No app drawer (just like the iPhone 5). Some may find this likable.
  • Good camera
  • More affordable than other top of the line Android smartphones.

  • Some lags and stutters despite its quad core processor and 2GB RAM. Lags are noticeable when playing games and by just swiping across apps.
  • No app drawer. Yes I do consider it as a “like”. Guys, I am an iPhone user so I like the idea of the absence of the app drawer. But for many Android buyers may consider this a downer.
  • No LTE.
