Nokia 5.1 and 3.1 Announced With Significant Upgrades

HMD Global, the company that makes Nokia phones, has announced three new phones earlier. Two of which are the Noka 5.1 and Nokia 3.1 which are successors to last year’s model.

The Nokia 5.1 has significant upgrades both under the hood and the screen which now sports an 18:9 display. It is now powered by a Helio P18 chipset from Mediatek paired with 2 or 3GB RAM.

Also getting some upgrades is the Nokia 3.1. It gets the same 18:9 aspect ratio but on a 5.2-inch display. Under the hood, it is powered by Mediatek’sMT6750 chipset paired with either 2 or 3GB RAM.

  • Android 8.0 Oreo upgradable to Android P

  • Mali T860 MP2 graphics
  • 2/3GB RAM
  • 16/32GB internal storage expandable via microSD up to 256GB
  • 5.2-inch HD+ IPS LCD display (720 x 1440 pixels) 18:9 aspect ratio
  • 13 megapixel rear facing camera (f/2.0 aperture) with autofocus, dual LED flash
  • 8 megapixel front facing camera
  • Dual SIM, Dual Standby, 4G/LTE
  • WiFi, Bluetooth
  • GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS
  • 2,990 mAh battery
  • Android 8.0 Oreo upgradable to Android P

The Nokia 5.1 will be available globally this July 2018 for 189/210 Euros while the Nokia 3.1 will be available this June 2018 for 139/159 Euros.
