This is the first time OnePlus incorporated a glass and metal combo for its chassis and it does look very premium. It has this wow factor when we first saw it. It has the usual OnePlus trade marks like the silent mode toggle at the top right of the phone. By the way, we reviewed the OnePlus 6 Avengers Infinity War Edition with 8GB RAM/256GB ROM variant.
The OnePlus 6 sports the Snapdragon 845 with 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The antutu benchmark gives us how speedy the OnePlus 6 is. It can handle intense high graphics online or offline games without experiencing of lag. Gamers will indeed love this phone.
And the biggest change from 18:9 aspect ratio to 19:9 aspect ratio with a notch in the center. Honestly we do hate the notch but since it is there, it really gets some getting used to. The Optic AMOLED display of OnePlus 6 is great, the viewing angles are good and sporting only 1080P resolution but it is not bad for the price.
The camera is of the biggest point of this smartphone the 16 MP (f/1.7 aperture, gyro EIS, OIS) + 20 MP (f/2.8 aperture) rear facing cameras with PDAF and dual LED cameras. OnePlus has improved a lot on its camera tech narrowing their gap with those expensive flagships. Check it the camera samples here.
The front camera here is same since OnePlus 3T with 16 megapixel front facing camera. Selfies are pretty good especially the detail and bokeh effects. Here the sample shots.
OnePlus 6 is one of the smartphone right now that has great output of camera from indoor to outdoors.
The slow motion now is one of the latest trend in the flagship segment, OnePlus is join in this trend. Here’s the slow motions sample with 1080P and 240FPS.
With only a few hours with the OnePlus 6, we can definitely say this is a winner. We truly recommend getting this phone once its available in the Philippines. We can’t wait for fully review the OnePlus 6 to test its battery life, the daily grind and overall performance.
We would like to thank Richmond Tan for lending his OnePlus 6 unit for a few hours. 🙂
