PHYSICAL APPEARANCE AND DESIGN
As you can see, in terms of physical appearance, the new Vivo Y71 is just very similar to the older Vivo phones we have seen before. In fact, it is much similar to the Vivo V7 Plus with a slightly bigger screen and no fingerprint sensor at the back.
The volume rockers and the power button are located at the right side.
It has the speaker grills, microUSB port, microphone, and 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom part.
The tri-slot microSD card, and dual nano SIM card slot is on the left side.
The back houses the single rear camera and a LED flash
At front, it only has a single front camera together with the earpiece and proximity/light sensors.
Rejoice if you are not fan of the notch because the new Y71 was equipped with the traditional 18:9 FullView display of Vivo. It has a huge 6-inch display which is perfect for better viewing experience.
SOFTWARE AND UI
We are very happy to see that the budget-friendly smartphone from Vivo was equipped with the latest Android 8.1 Oreo with FuntouchOS 4.0.
Even thought it doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner, the Y71 is equip with a face unlock feature.
The camera has different modes like Face Beauty, Panorama, Document Mode, and Professional Mode. In Pro Mode, you can play with the following:
- Exposure Value: -2 to +2
- ISO: 50 – 3200
- Shutter Speed: 1/12000s – 16s
- White Balance and Focus
- AnTuTu – 45,407

The Vivo Y71 is a decent smartphone for the budget of under Php9,000. It has a big screen for better viewing experience, sleek design, capable cameras, and latest Android OS out of the box. You can also consider its lower-end variant which has 2GB of RAM and a 8MP rear camera for the price of Php7,990.
