HARDWARE AND DESIGN
The Asus Zenfone Max Plus M1 has a premium-looking metal body design. It makes more significant than the other Zenfones by following the new trend which is having an 18:9 aspect ratio.
The fingerprint scanner was perfectly placed at the back and the rear cameras are far into it therefore you will not touch anything aside from the scanner when unlocking the phone.
When it comes to the bezels, we feel that the bottom bezel is still thick compared to other nearly bezel-less smartphones.
We love the display of the Max Plus M1. With the screen resolution of 2160 x 1080, this results to sharp details, nice viewing angles, and great viewing experience. The 18:9 aspect ratio makes the device looks taller and is a refreshing view if you are currently using phones with 16:9 aspect ratio.
Other good feature of the Max Plus M1 is having a dual rear cameras with a 120 degree wide angle support. This feature is very helpful for travelers to capture beautiful landscapes. While on its front, its 8MP selfie shooter can capture average selfies. Check out sample photos below.
Normal vs Wide-Angle shots
The Asus Zenfone Max Plus M1 is a refreshing device from Asus which finally sports trendy stuffs like 18:9 aspect ratio, nearly border-less display, and facial unlock. Even though its battery is just 4,130mAh compared to the 5,000mAh of the Zenfone 4 Max, this new device is still part of the Battery Kings of Asus Zenfones so you can expect long lasting battery life in general. At the price of P11,995.00, this device is very exciting to compare with other smartphone brands within this price point like the Oppo F5 Youth, Vivo V7, and Huawei Nova 2i. Until then, wait for our turn to test this device in action.
