Samsung has a treat for those looking for an affordable device. The Samsung Galaxy J2 2017 is their answer for those people looking for a entry-level Samsung device.
The Samsung Galaxy J2 2017 has a qHD Super AMOLED display with a 960 x 540 resolution at 234 ppi pixel density. This is relatively small given that most smartphones nowadays sport at least 5.5 inches of screen real estate.
Under the hood, it has a 64 Bit Exynos 3475 quad core processor that is clocked in at 1.3 Ghz. It also has a MaliT720 GPU along with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB of expandable storage up to 128 GB via MicroSD card.
The cameras are pretty standard for an entry level device. It has a 5MP sensor with autofocus and LED light for the main camera while a 2MP sensor for the selfie camera.
To round out the specs, it has a 2000 mAh battery, WiFi, 4G LTE, GPS, Bluetooth, accelerometer, and a proximity sensor. The Android version that it runs is not yet confirmed though there are rumors that it will be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Some of these specs are a step down compared to the 2016 version of the J2 since that had a 5-inch display with 1.5 GB of RAM. The battery is noticeably smaller as well as it went down from 2600 mAh to 2000 mAh.
What do you think? Is this phone a worthy pick up for PHP 5,990?
