IFA 2017 – Sony Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact

We are continuing our coverage of the yearly IFA in Berlin, Germany. After LG, the spotlight now turns to Sony as it unveils the Sony Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact. This is the company’s flagship smartphone for the second half of 2017. Sony is the only smartphone maker that releases their flagship line twice a year.

Both smartphones are considered to be the first devices running Android 8.0 Oreo. It is powered by a Snapdragon 835 with 4GB RAM. No Quad HDs here because the Xperia XZ1 is at Full HD and the smaller Xperia XZ1 Compact is in HD. On the camera department, both has 19 megapixel camera and a 13 megapixel selfie camera Xperia XZ1 and 8 megapixel selfie shooter for the Xperia XZ1 Compact.

No price has been mentioned but Sony said both devices will be available globally in a week or two.
