Facebook has announced a major update on its messaging service. It has revamped a UI a bit with a new and easy-to-use camera. Called the Messenger Camera, you can now capture moments and share it with your friends through the messenger.
Using the Messenger Camera is simple. Press the shutter button to take photo and a long press will record a video. They’ve also introduced 3D masks and special effects to give life to your photos and videos. There are improvements on its core messaging feature. Facebook has added thousands of stickers, frames, masks, and effects to choose from.
Unique to Messenger, the company also created a place where you can make your text messages even more fun. Check out the palette icon by the shutter and it will take you to a blank canvas where you can add art and stickers to your text. It makes everything super easy to add more delight to the conversations you’re having about what you’re doing, how you’re feeling and the plans you are making.
Of course, if you just want to send a message with only text, you can still do that too. All of the features that you know and love in Messenger are just the same.
The update for Facebook Messenger is now available globally. Have you tried the new Messenger? What are your thoughts? Leave a comment below!
