Samsung’s competitors like Huawei, OPPO, and even LG has stepped up their game when it comes to overall build quality, camera, performance and gaming. But Samsung continues to rule the competition and remains No.1 smartphone brand worldwide. The reason behind it is the success of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge 2016 flagship phones, Though they are expensive, the company also maintained some respectable market share on the mid range and entry level ones with the Galaxy A and Galaxy J series.

Competition has leveled up on the phablet space, Huawei has the Mate 8, LG has the V10 (now V20 is coming out soon), Apple has the iPhone 6s Plus (now the iPhone 7 is just around the corner). With the refinements done with the Galaxy S7, we expect the same with the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. We have one for review and let’s jump in!

Samsung created the phablet arena and remains to be king here. With the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. We think Samsung will rule this arena for another year. All the refinements (as compared with the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 of last year) we expect are here – the return of the microSD card expansion and bigger battery.

When it comes to looks, it is as stunning as we saw on videos and photos. It is really like a beautiful piece of artwork done on a smartphone. Samsung poured so much effort and attention to details when it comes to design. Our one gripe here is the same with other current Galaxies – fingerprint and smudge magnet.  Good thing you don’t need to buy a case since there is already one included on the package. We got our unit from Globe when we renewed our postpaid plan. We are not sure if you will be a case when you buy one from Samsung Experience store.

We will be reviewing the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 for two weeks. There are so many things to cover here since it is a very powerful device – S Pen, camera, software, performance, gaming, and battery. If you can’t wait for our review and you have 40K to spare, then go ahead and buy one now. It is really a good phone that will last you for years.
