Aside from camera, smartphone buyers are looking for a device with a bigger memory. The bigger the RAM and ROM configuration, the better. Flash Philippines first released the 2GB RAM/16GB ROM variant of the Flash Plus 2 and we were able to review it. It is one of best smartphones we reviewed with this price range. A month after, the company released the 3GB RAM/32GB ROM version.
On this review, we will focus more on its overall performance, For other aspects you can read our review of the Flash Plus 2 (2GB RAM).

HARDWARE AND DESIGN
We have the same old hardware and design as the 2GB RAM model. The one we reviewed is the gold variant while the one we have now is the silver variant. We actually prefer this color as it makes it looks classier. This metal back is removable revealing the dual SIM cards and microSD card slots.
Just the like its cheaper variant, the 5.5-inch display is on Full HD with 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is sharp and very vibrant though it is not that bright especially when it is on auto brightness.
SOFTWARE AND PERFORMANCE
The difference can be noticed on the performance. A smartphone with 3GB RAM can handle more tasks, more games and more open apps at the background. Larger 32GB internal memory means you can store more apps. We encourage you to use the microSD card slot for your photos and videos so all the 32GB ROM will be only for apps because Android 6.0 Marshmallow prohibits the transfer of apps to microSD. Gaming experience was superb. It ran Clash Royale and Asphalt 8 smoothly.
Photos taken from the 13 megapixel camera and 5 megapixel front camera are sharp and with good color accuracy. With good light and proper timing, you can get really great photos and selfies.
LTE, WiFi and Bluetooth comes standard with the Flash Plus 2. LTE speeds are within the usual speeds. If you wish to use the device mainly for internet or WiFi hotspot, you can do so and even set the preferred network to “4G only”. Calls are clear with no issues.
The Flash Plus 2’s unique “4G only” feature made us use the device as a WiFi hotspot for a day. Using LTE especially as a hotspot usually drains the battery faster. The case is similar to the Flash Plus 2 but the device managed to get 8 hours by just being a hotspot for a day which is not bad. On our normal battery test, we managed to get around 4 hours and 5 minutes of screen on time with still 20% left in the tank.
Just like we’ve said on our other review, getting the Flash Plus 2 is the best deal of the year. We think the additional P1,500 won’t hurt the bank if you wish for more RAM and internal storage. The Flash Plus 2 with 3GB RAM is still one of the best smartphones you can get for P8,490.
