The company has just rolled out the Cloudfone Thrill Access to their stores and now we have one for review. Is this the start of more changes to come from Cloudfone? Let’s find out.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

The Cloudfone Thrill Access is a huge departure from what we used to see on smartphones at this price. We were greeted by a very solid device with a metal and plastic combo at the back. We do love this gold variant that we are reviewing right now. The back is removable that reveals the non removable 2,500 mAh battery, dual SIM card trays and microSD card.

The design reminds of both a certain phone from ZTE and the Flash Plus 2 probably because of how the back cover is removed. The back is mostly metal but the top and bottom portions are plastic. Moving to the front, we love the gold accent surrounding the fingerprint control button.

Now let’s check the button and port placements

  • Top – 3.5mm headset jack
  • Bottom – USB charging port and microphone
  • Left – nothing
  • Right – power button and volume rockers

After boot up, apps like the security app TARA, Spotify and Cloudfone Care come pre-installed. There is no app drawer so all your apps are on the home screen. We will be using the Cloudfone Thrill Access for the next two weeks. We will definitely focus on its performance and battery endurance.

The Cloudfone Thrill Access is the start of more greater things to come from Cloudfone. If you can’t wait for our review, you can just buy one now for only P4,999. So far, we are very impressed on what we are seeing from this device. 🙂
