FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Before buying the Asus Zenfone Max, you should understand that you will be carrying quite some heft because of the huge 5,000 mAh battery. And indeed it is quite hefty. To our standards, it is not as heavy as you think but you’ll feel the weight and some bulge when putting it in your pockets.

That black Asus Zenfone Max looks very nice!!!
That black Asus Zenfone Max looks very nice!!!

Design-wise, we prefer the black one just like our friend Raffy Pedrajita of TechPatrl.com owns. The black variant looks and feels like leather making it more premium than the white one we have here. Anyway, the phone is well built and it looks it can survive a fall. Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protects the display which means accidental scratches will not worry you. One big improvement we noticed it all buttons now are at the right side instead of the power button at the top and the volume rockers are at the back.

We will taking the Asus Zenfone Max for a spin. We will definitely test the battery’s endurance on different power saving modes. We will be testing its camera, software performance and gaming as well. Full review will be up in two weeks. 🙂
