Last November 26, 2015, Samsung took over the iconic SM Mall of Asia Globe to showcase the Samsung Gear S2 and the Samsung Galaxy Studio. Samsung is a company that believes that technology should constantly innovate the way people live and during this event, they showed us that the future is definitely happening now.
Samsung Gear S2
The Gear S2 is hailed as Samsung’s most revolutionary smartwatch and also its latest innovation in wearable technology. Guests were treated to a spectacular display of the Gear S2’s capabilities. From syncing with your smartphone to being a fitness monitor and even as far as locking and unlocking your car, Gear S2 can help you do it all in style.
The Gear S2 has a rotating bezel and is designed to be slim, sleek and sexy. This statement holds true with the Samsung Gear S2 ambassadors in attendance: fashion designer Francis Libran, top fashion photographer BJ Pascual, Fashion Journalist and Blogger Ingrid Chua-Go, international model Kelsey Merritt, Radio DJ Andi Manzano, Club DJ & Model Callum David and Lifestyle Bloggers Cecile Zamora Van Straten & Kelly Misa. The Gear S2 is proud to be more than a fashion accessory and delivers by helping you reach your fitness goals. Samsung has partnered with TriSixFiv triathlon team headed by Fashion and Sports Photographer now fitness evangelist Xander Angeles as well as CrossfitMNL. They also had on display a Limited Edition Volkswagen Beetle 1.4L Turbo connected to a Gear S2 via a third party app developed by FUFU Labs.
Excitement at every turn was definitely an understatement when Samsung turned the iconic MOA Globe into the world’s largest smartwatch. Digs Dimagiba, Samsung’s Business Unit Head for IT and Mobile Business, shared with us that the Gear S2 is inspired by circles as it represents perfection in the purest form. We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. After all, as consumers, we are definitely looking for gadgets that can go and come with us full circle. One that gives us both form and function.
Samsung Galaxy Studio
The night was completed with the opening of the Samsung Galaxy Studio, a unique visual display space which allows consumers to experience the latest in Samsung technology.
Samsung Galaxy Studio houses several hubs for consumers to experience the different innovative technologies Samsung has to offer. They have the Gear S2, Galaxy Not e 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+. A couple are not available in the market as of yet, the Gear VR and Level On Pro which happens to be a favorite of ours.
The Gears S2 hub allowed consumers to experience the gadgets app-rich ecosystem which includes the built in S Health app that monitors your vital signs and activity levels. Guests were able to experience the Gear S2’s fitness tracking abilities through a stationary bike provided by Trek Bikes.
The Galaxy Note 5 hub allowed consumers to experience the all-powerful S-pen by drawing and using the device. Meanwhile, at the Galaxy S6 edge+ hub, the Samsung Gear VR was ready to immerse you in a world without leaving your seat. Last but definitely not the least, the Samsung Level On Pro hub, where we got to listen to music seamlessly connected to a Samsung Note 5 and not only that but control the playlist by tapping and swiping the right ear cup. Our favourite feature is where you can control the noise cancellation via a tap of your finger.
The Samsung Galaxy Studio was hosted at the SM Mall of Asia Cyberzone last November 27 – December 5 2015. It definitely got better with every turn we took. You can also check out more by searching #galaxystudioph on Instagram and Facebook.
